Consistent development
The 100m is all about raw speed and perfect technique. Success requires explosive starts, maintaining form at top speed, and consistent training at maximum velocity.
The 200m combines pure speed with curve running technique. Athletes must maintain velocity through the turn while managing lactate buildup in the final 50 meters.
The 400m is the ultimate sprint, requiring tactical awareness, pacing strategy, and the ability to maintain form while fighting severe lactate accumulation.
All sprint records must be wind legal (maximum +2.0 m/s tailwind). Indoor records are not subject to wind restrictions but tracks must meet NCAA specifications.
